Our Team
MARTHA QUINAYÁS DELGADO

My name is Martha Quinayás Delgado. After finishing my studies of Plastic Arts at the University of Sabana, I lived in Bogotá where I developed programs that focused on art as means to develop community with the elderly, children, and youth. Following my time in Bogotá, I moved to the municipality of Arbeláez in Cundinamarca in the Sumapaz Region (Colombia), a quiet and welcoming city. During these years my work has been on building a peaceful community  by offering my artistic knowledge to weave a strong social fabric. Working with the community has been an inspiring experience, teaching me that every individual has an artist within them.

Art is a conduit for  knowing how to understand and listen to others, to have group empathy, solidarity, love for God, love for others and love for oneself and for our environment. I believe that through art, we can reach an individual consciousness of being, acting and supporting others to be able to change ourselves and our communities through artistic expressions.

Feminism has been a fundamental pillar in my life and in my professional development. I firmly believe that questioning our reality and our decisions as women is essential to transform society. My goal is to contribute to the creation of inclusive and sustainable spaces that reflect and respect the diversity of communities, especially those in vulnerable situations. I am committed to developing projects that not only beautify the environment, but also strengthen the voice and role of women in the process of creating and transforming their communities.

Our Team
RUTH MARINA QUINAYÁS GRANADOS

I am a professional in International Commerce, with emphasis in Finance. I began my career at a young age working at the the Bogotá Stock Exchange, which is today the Colombian Stock Exchange, and later in a brokerage firm. When I began working 40 years ago, gender discrimination in the Stock Brokerage market was remarkable. It was an arduous task when women were starting their careers,  and through collective action over the years, women are respected at the Stock Market as Stock Brokers, today Bankers.

Outside of my career, I organized a team of women to lead social activities and community breakfasts for local unhoused women. My children would join me at these events, and they went on to create the “Rock for the Kids Foundation”, launched in 2013.

I have been committed to strengthening the role of women in their communities, supporting their personal and emotional development, and raising awareness of respect for fundamental principles of JUNTANZA.

I promote the importance of making social investment alongside citizen education in the areas of equality , respect, and safety as the key components to promote self-esteem in our women.
